Most repairs take 10-15 days from the time the quote is accepted.
Quoting a Repair Estimate – “What happens when you receive my gauge?”
We can provide you with an exact quote if requested on your paperwork; state on order “quote price”,
After receipt of gage and entering into our order tracking system, we strive to provide a quote to you within 3-5 business days.
Approximate lead time: usually 10-15 days after approval of quote (lead time may be dependent upon part availability).
We do our best to stock almost every part required to repair these gauges at all times, however sometimes parts do get back-ordered to us from our supplier in Switzerland.
Interapid Repair Details – “What are you going to do to my gauge?”
Our repair process covers complete teardown of the tool, washout/cleaning, inspection for any damaged or worn parts.
We replace any damaged/worn parts. Re-assemble, calibrate for lead back to manufacturers specifications for accuracy.
Crystals are replaced. Base repair prices start at $70 and generally are in the range $75-$110 range. However the price could go higher if many parts are required to repair your gage.
Worn contact points (measuring inserts) (most are $23.00), damaged-bent adapter shanks (swivel holding post) ($12.00) are replaced and are in addition to the above price.
Crystal Replacements – “Do you replace Interapid crystals?”
We will gladly install a new crystal only to replace a cracked or missing a crystal on your tool if that is all you require, just state on your paperwork “crystal replacement only $28.00”, as our normal procedure here is to refurbish/clean/repair the complete tool. Turnaround time for just a crystal replacement is usually 1-2 days.
ISO/IEC 17025 Calibration Reports – “I need a calibration report!”
If required and when requested, an ISO/IEC 17025 Calibration Report accredited by A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation), is available for $30.00 additional and must be done prior to shipment of tool. State on paperwork “provide ISO 17025 calibration report”.

We will work up a quote after receipt of your gage and forward that to you within a few days.
All return shipments are sent F.O.B. Royal Oak Michigan, pre-paid and ship charges added to the invoice (or you may provide your preferred shippers account number).
